Even though there may be minimal or no required work experience or education, the Federal government has set minimum guidelines that must be met. Most employers are only looking for one thing - someone who can contribute to the company and produce excellent results. This is one of the many reasons that people who don't have 'internships' are often offered on-the-job training (OTJ) before being hired as well.While you can choose not to provide any 'internships' on your resume, it is important to write about your experience if you have any. Although it may seem like you didn't do much, you really did have an impact on the company. Maybe you were the first employee, the employer saw or came up with a great idea. At the same time, you were a valuable part of the overall company culture and contributed to the work environment as a team player.Since so many companies want 'one and done' employees, they are willing to take less risk by hiring someone without one. Many companies will offer up to a dozen of their own interns before they even consider going outside the company for another candidate. However, if you're already working full-time, you should never limit yourself to a 'no internships' note on your resume.Whether you're a student or a professional writer, it's important to be honest about your skills. If you don't provide one, then that means you don't have any experience. Even if you're a recent grad, you can write an experience-based resume that will bring your resume to life.Internships are an important component of being a part of a business. Not every college graduate is going to land a great paying corporate position in their first year out of school. In fact, almost 90% of college graduates fail to land a job that pays at least one thousand dollars per month after graduation.With the negative aspects out of the way, let's talk about positive aspects of internships. Some employers use these programs to give their employees an inside look at how a company operates. There are many jobs that require the hiring of interns who are trained to work in a particular department. These individuals are then responsible for producing results to help boost the company's bottom line.Don't forget that you can receive a small stipend or salary from a company that uses an internship program or a local community college. Other employees can also benefit from the program by providing input and developing ideas. In short, a business that utilizes an internship program will not be limited to one or two projects. Employees will get valuable experience and learn how to effectively communicate with management.
